Founded by a mother and son duo, our mission is to share the wholesome, time-honored recipes that have been part of our family for generations. Each product is made with love, care, and a deep respect for Ukrainian culinary traditions.
Our history
Tasty Ferments began as a story of love, resilience, and tradition. When the war in Ukraine forced our family to make difficult decisions, I brought my mother to the United States for safety. With her, she carried not just her strength but also a treasure trove of recipes that had been passed down through generations of our Ukrainian heritage.
We quickly realized how difficult it was to find authentic Ukrainian fermented foods in the U.S.—the kind of wholesome, flavorful staples that are not only delicious but also deeply rooted in our culture. Inspired by our love for these foods and the desire to share a taste of home, we decided to turn my mother’s talent and passion into a business.
At Tasty Ferments, we specialize in traditional fermented cabbage, sour carrot, and farmer’s cheese, known as tvorog in Ukraine. These aren’t just products to us; they are pieces of our history and a way to connect people to the flavors of Ukraine, no matter where they are.
